If you could add one tool to the game, what would it be?

This came up looking at the solutions to puzzles #1 and #2 and has been rattling around in my head ever since - there were some places where I could really have used a backbone rotation tool to do more drastic moves than the game currently allows. What, if any, tools would you like to see added to the game? How about viewing modes? - Chris

Second this for sure!!

But also Click outside of the area being worked on to rotate (click and release and move mouse to rotate) and (click and hold to move the entire molecule)

The hotkeys are fine but I really want to use the mouse for those simple functions.

well you can move the backbone around using the drag tool, just make long strokes then the backbone will move, haven't found out yet how to controll it but it moves, my model 9 is now 1 long string, it looks like spaghettig ;)

auto save option, so it saves every time you reach a new personal high. it looks helpfull to me stood on rank 3 on model 9 but forgot to save and now im back to place 8 or so.

The game idea is a … WOW

but it needs some refinement to be fully effective.. for example there is no good way to manipulate the stable backbone segments… it would be great to have some kind of stabilizer tool, to reset the alpha helixes and beta sheets (perfect spiral, and flat sheet), a backbone twist tool, and more grip points to manipulate it with the pull tools

yeah i really think a backbone manipulator would help in untwisting and twisting some backbones but that could be controled by the user and not by the program

also a better way to move around or more in a more controled way would help (at least for me :p)

I would like to see support for multi-monitor systems and a small window for an "overall" view similar to an object in AutoCAD or Photoshop.. When I zoom way in to work on something it's nice to see an overall so I can orient myself a bit.. Maybe an easier way to use a Wacom tablet?

A provision for setting up a local Cache server for your work would be great, as I roam from computer to computer across my network and it would be nice to be able to store all my work on a central local server and then have that server periodically update the Fold.it main server so that I don't have to worry as much about connectivity with fold.it (which is offshore for me and therefore at the mercy of telstra..) on a constant basis..

Just ideas though, I think this game is great and can't wait to see later iterations as it beats the hell out of mindless games like solitaire and it has a productive purpose.. really it's like a rubick's cube on crack.

I think it would be useful to be able to turn on and off the aquatic environment.  This way the hydrophobics could naturally drift towards the inside of the protein.
This may already be incorporated into wiggle.
