We are trying to see if you can get to the native structure on this puzzle without any native guidance from the Foldit team, that is, without a native guide, without telling you which public solutions are promising, etc. It is a test of whether the Foldit community working together in All-Hands mode can come up with a native fold on a tricky starting problem. The initial solutions for all-hands are drawn from your solutions to Puzzle 138 (Rosetta Decoy 2), using an algorithm with no knowledge of the native structure.

Xylanase is an enzyme which degrades linear polysaccharides into xylose thus breaking down cellulose. It is found in cellulose digesting bacteria. The degradation of cellulose holds much promise in the field of renewable energy sources. A greater understanding of this system might lead to the discovery new bio-fuels.
