Mini-CASP 22 had only 1 template with no alignments to the first 23 residues. This could mean the N-terminus is disordered, so we have trimmed off the first 13 residues (see puzzle comments for more details). We have also included 2 very distant templates, you can see that their scores are quite bad and the starting alignments won't thread, but maybe they can help somehow. For players with fewer than 150 global points.

The previous alignment puzzle for Mini-CASP 20 had some difficult templates (some solved structures contained gaps, see puzzle comments for more info) so hopefully these 6 templates will be easier to work with. Mini-CASP 23 is a very large protein, but this will be good practice for CASP 9, since many targets will be big as well. Hopefully your scripts and recipes will be able to handle it. You will also need to use all your alignment tool knowledge on this one!
