This is the first in a series of design puzzles where we need you to remodel a loop to better interact with the ligand. You can insert up to 10 residues and are able to mutate all the residues in that loop. This puzzle is worth 125 points! More details in the puzzle comments.

We are giving you this currently unsolved protein as an extended chain. Use all your beta-sheet forming skills to fold it up as best as you can. The secondary structure predictions are posted in the puzzle comments, but we have included them in the starting structure as well.

Here is one of our newest small proteins that binds the flu virus. It should look very similar to some of the earlier posted flu designs because it is! However, we've added a new interaction at position 295 that we hope will help it target different subtypes of the flu. If you are new to Foldit, make sure you have completed Intro Puzzle 5-2, & 7-1 through 7-4. See the puzzle comments for more info.

This is the third round of the exploration version of puzzle 457. Explore away from the structures shown on the contact map to increase your score multiplier. You can access these 19 different structures by opening the alignment panel. Play the exploration puzzle tutorial and get started by going to [Actions]->[Contact Map]. This third round will be worth 20 points and will last 2 days.

This puzzle makes use of the Alignment Tool, where you will find 3 different templates that you can thread onto the sequence you are trying to fold. You will need to complete Intro Puzzles 6-1 through 6-3 to suceed in this puzzle. Make sure to move the different alignments around, try out all 3 different templates and use partial threading (see puzzle comments).
